In her recent blog post my friend Selima talked about the huge demand for IT skills today

 

In fact the highest ever demand

 

and not just for IT skilled people but also for qualified accountants and lawyers

 

They are being offered 20 - 100% higher starting salaries when they apply as well as a ton of perks

 

As she says - it seems like only yesterday when newly qualified accountants and lawyers were chasing jobs at a ratio of 2:1 and flipping burgers to make ends meet

 

Of course we need accountants and lawyers are necessary in a modern world but the IT skills gap is what we are concerned with

 

If It skills are in high demand globally then it’s obvious that they are the skills to have.

 

But if you are a little longer in the tooth than those 20 something law graduates learning hard IT skills is not unattractive

 

Luckily you don’t need those to start an online business
