Hi {email}
Its an old saying but like many of those absolutely true.
If you read my email last week you’ll know that my father passed away on the 3rd of this month after a long and pretty horrible period of ill health.
Amongst other things he had dementia and by the end there wasn’t really much left of the man I knew as my dad.
I had decided to take a break from everything until after his funeral on the 24th
But to tell the truth I’m not one for moping around and neither was my dad. I’ve written my funeral speech, helped my mum and my brother make all the arrangements and shed some tears.
Dad had a really good life right up until the last couple of years and he certainly gave me and my brother a very good start on ours.
And I have no intention of wasting any of what left of mine - let’s face it none of us knows how long that will be.
So i’ll continue to help people create their ideal lives in this amazing digital world we live in by introducing them them to products and services that I strongly believe in and use myself
And by providing as much mentorship and support as I can in the process.
As a teacher and senior member of the education establishment in Scotland, thats basically what my dad did in his career
So in a way, I can honour his memory by doing something similar in a vastly different world than the one he grew up in.
Over the last 7 years I’ve benefitted hugely from a different kind of education and mentorship as I transformed my life from the dark days of redundancy to where I am now
I’ve seen the organisation in question grow, expand and improve its already pretty incredible range.
Their goal has always been to equip as many people as possible with the knowledge and skills to thrive in the digital world.
This has never been more crucial than its now after nearly two years of pandemics, lockdowns and economic ruin.
I wrote a blog about this last week and included a link to the new PDF that my mentors released recently detailing all of their educational and business programmes.
You can download the PDF from the post on my website HERE
Bests for now
Dave
