Hi
Its a pretty good day in Scotland today
After what seems like forever, lockdown rules are easing a bit. We still can’t visit friends and family freely but lots of people - my partner included - can go back to work or business.
There are a few more stages to go through before we reach “normality” sometime in June.
But for some industries, like events support, live performance and hospitality things will be tough for quite a lot longer
And for some things will never be the same.
Its been a historic period of time - one those of us who lived through it will never forget - for all the wrong reasons
I just can’t help but wonder how this world would have functioned without the Internet during this unprecedented crisis.
As a place to do shopping safely its grown 10 times faster in a year than it ordinarily would have before the pandemic
It’s also kept businesses open, enabled people to work from home and kept millions of friends and families in touch “face to face”.
The opportunity this created will be around for a long time and shouldn’t be underestimated
The free “Crisis webcast” Stuart Ross created at the start of all this sums it up well and shows you how you can take advantage of it.
I’m just glad I shifted to the online world when the last crisis tried to ruin my life.
Cheers!
Dave
