I was using a great little video tool for one of our music videos the other day that I hadn’t used in a while

 

I thought it might be something you’d find useful too and I don’t think I’ve mentioned it before

 

I’m not an affiliate for this by the way so nothing in it for me if you pick this up (except the warm glow of knowing I’ve been useful!)

 

Its called Reflector and it basically mirrors your smartphone or tablet onto your laptop.

 

“What good is that?”, I hear you ask

 

Well teachers and lectures use it a lot as they can walk around the class using with a smartphone sharing their screen or camera with a laptop hooked to a projector or big screen TV

 

I use it when I’m using my phone to shoot video. It gives me a big monitor (the laptop screen) for one thing but it also means I can use the rear facing camera which is better to film myself.

 

I’m sure you can think of other uses for it too

 

Sneakily setting your phone camera to point at your brother and suddenly making him appear on TV springs to mind 😆

 

or spying on cats …..
