I was reading a survey today that was conducted by Franchise Direct - one of the biggest Franchise directory sites in the world.
Might seem like a boring thing to do but I had my reasons…
The survey asked would be franchise buyers what they were looking for most in starting a business.
I
wrote a blog on 11 of the survey answers I found most revealing which you can read here.
In the blog post I say why I think SFM is a far better option than a
franchise because it has all of the advantages and none of the drawbacks.
A lot of the people who have joined SFM through me have either owned and been disappointed by or were looking at buying a franchise.
My first attempt at making money online was a franchise
so I understand the attraction.
It's easier than starting a business from scratch for starters, the success rate is higher and if you need to borrow money to start it the banks are more willing to take a risk on you.
They can be pretty restrictive though and as
Stuart Ross found when he ran a franchise as his first business, it can be very like buying yourself another job.
The beauty of the SFM approach is that you can apply it in lots of different ways. That's important for me - I get bored easily and need to be able vary what I'm doing every day.
Anyway - If you read the blog I hope you find it useful
Cheers
