In the UK we have a magazine style TV show called The One Show - you've probably seen it if you are UK based.

It's the kind of thing you maybe have on in the background when you're cooking or something. It's quite random but from time to time they do feature something really inspiring.

Last night it was an elderly couple who had just "retired" from a big adventure that had spanned 40 years. 

They'd sold up everything they had, cashed in the pensions, savings etc and invested in a nice big boat (actually the husband had been building it for a few years - he just hadn't mentioned to the wife that it was going to be their home for the next 40 years!)

Anyway when the time came he ran the idea past her and after a few rules and compromises were agreed on - off they went. 

Over the next 40 years at sea they visited 47 countries, stopping where and when they felt like it and staying for as long as they wanted - sometimes a day or two - sometimes a month or two. 

I find this - You only have one life, lets LIVE it  - attitude truly inspiring. 

These guys worked hard, waited till the kids had grown and left and then set off on their great adventure. 

Thing is nowadays we don't have to do it that way. The SFM is full of people like my coaches Greg and Fiona who live that way now (without the boat - they prefer to do short term house swaps) 

They can do that because they can work from anywhere. Just as long as they can connect to the internet they can run their business. I imagine you could do that from a boat with a satellite connection…. 

What could actually be better? I mean the freedom that's possible. Maybe you don't want to see the world - maybe you just don't want to spend 30 hours a week in traffic commuting to a job that isn't fulfilling. 

Doesn't matter - you can have it. 

The sky is the limit and its not a pie in the sky daydream either - it's completely feasible.
