One of the biggest things that people fear is the S word (SELLING)
The truth
is that selling and being sold to are two things that most people are not into.
Whether that be selling yourself - a job application or interview or in the social sense - going on a date for example, it's just not most people's idea of fun!
Although I spent many years
in a business development role which technically speaking is a form of sales, I never felt that I was "doing the hard sell".
I had a strong belief in the team who actually delivered the service I was promoting - audio visual services for events.
So when I met
with potential clients I just showed them examples of previous work, answered all their questions and listened to them so that if they gave me the opportunity to quote I could prepare a proposal that met with their needs.
Of course I would follow up with them. People are busy after all and they need a little gentle prompting sometimes. They don't need to be sold to
though.
In my opinion you should simply present the information and keep in touch - let them know your there for them. That's what attracted to me the SFM - they have the same approach.
That's what I'm doing with these emails by the way.
With a business like SFM where you make income from sales commissions you might think you need to sell - Good news for you - YOU DON'T !
Obviously sales are made but with SFM the real magic is that their team of professional business coaches take care
of that for you.
They are not cold calling people and badgering them to join - There is an application process after all and the team only contact people who have applied.
They don't use a hard sales approach they just answer questions and give applicants the
information they need to decide where they want to be in the business.
Very few people but high ticket (high commission) products without talking to someone in person.
So as an SFM affiliate you genuinely only need to use the detailed training you receive to generate
leads. The system takes care of the rest.
The result of that is that you get emails from Stuart Ross telling you've made a sale. I can't explain how amazing that feels - especially if it's the first thing you see when you check your email!
So if a fear of
selling is putting you off getting started, this should hopefully come as a massive relief : )
Cheers!
