How do you feel about Sunday's?
For me it
used to be a bittersweet day. It's followed by Monday after all so needs savouring!
Whether you go out and do something - go for a drive, climb a hill, spend time on a hobby or just have long lie and sit around all day trying to stretch it out for as long as possible - it always ends too soon.
At least that's how it was when I was in the Rat Race.
These days I often work on a Sunday - or at least part of it. It's just another day and I look forward to all of them now. Mainly because of the flexibility I now
have.
Today for example I got a last minute photography job for an insurance company - I still do various little freelance things to keep my hand in. Since I'm not stuck with a rigid work regime I can say yes to most things at the drop of a hat.
So I started the day with a
nice drive along a country road in my trusty little Z3. Came back and uploaded the photo's - job done and a few more bucks in the bank.
I also got a call to see if I was available do autocue for a Scottish TV personality next Friday - why not I said ! I'll catch up with some old friends and who knows what will result from that.
These just happen to be things I can do - the point is that when you work for yourself in the digital economy you have options.
I use the money from these occasional jobs to boost my marketing budget so in the long term they pay me several times over.
I love it and I think you would too …
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday - or if it's Monday when you're reading this - my condolences lol ! : )
Cheers!
Dave
