More on Your Online Real estate...

In many ways there has never been a better time to start generating income online.

The internet is an ever changing place and it's been getting much more user friendly for some years for people looking to earn from it.

Here's A video I recorded around this subject (please share or comment if you like it !)

I'll give you a couple of examples:

Blogging and SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)

It used to be the case that if you learned certain techniques to use in writing content for blogs and webpages you could rank highly on search engines like Google. You could simply stuff your writing full of keywords and that would be enough to do the job. Didn't make for very good reading though!

Things are very different now and the algorithms that search engines use to decide how high to rank your content have become much more "human".

They are now able to make judgements based more on how useful the content actually is. So in other words its more a case of writing very naturally and knowledgeably about whatever the subject is. A huge improvement and far less of a learning curve.

Facebook:

Facebook has become one of the best places to advertise for countless reasons. Again though, there used to be a screed of tricks that could be used. You also used to need a huge number of fans on a page to get organic results. That's all changed.

Much like the SEO stuff for search engines, Facebook is more interested in good, valuable and natural content so they now no longer care about how many fans you have. (It still looks good to visitors if you have lots of fans but they will still be more interested in what you have to say)

This means that there's no value in going to places like Fiverr and buying a load of likes for your pages, or for spending money on campaigns aimed at generating likes.

It's all part of the cleaning up process that's (thankfully) happening online. It makes it very difficult for people promoting scams and get rich schemes for a start. It also means that marketers need to prove that what they are promoting is actually what people are looking for.

This is good for everyone. As customers we get less rubbish put in front of us and as honest, hard working marketers we are rewarded for our efforts: Win, win situation.

So in short when you have amazing products to promote that you fully believe in, all you need to do is to be honest about them. You tell people what's good about them from your own point of view.

You talk to people as people - the way you would like to be talked to - not through a bag of tricks and hyped up sales techniques.

I think you'd agree this all good. As more and more of the world goes online to buy products, services and to find information, they become much more savvy about who they buy them from.

We can see through bullshit now - we want honesty and transparency. We don't want to go on Facebook and see our newsfeed full of car dealer style hard sales. When we search for something on Google we want to be able to find it without being scammed or given the run around.

I'll leave you with an example of how SFM teaches marketing in tune with all this.

Imagine you were in a store and a stranger came up to you and said "Hi, want to buy an online business?" You'd find that just plain weird wouldn't you? I know I would.

Imagine though that you'd got to know someone by reading their blogs, watching their videos,  joining them on hangouts or talking to them on Skype.

Imagine that person took the time to ask how they could help you and then told you about something they'd found that helped them with the same thing. Imagine they simply then offered you some information about it.  How would you receive that?

Not exactly rocket science is it ?

That's how modern, forward thinking internet business works. That's how SFM train us. It's the reason I'm proud to promote them to people who really want to change their lives through digital marketing. It's the reason you get these mails from me.

Bests
