I wish I'd said....

A while ago my friend Satya asked me if I would do a "Hazelnut Interview" with her. Satya is a fellow member of SFM and DEA and has told me a few times that I was largely responsible for her deciding to get involved with the business.

Watch the interview here

The Hazelnut Interviews are a series of intimate interviews she does with variety of people - both SFM people and others that she finds inspiring. I was quite touched to be asked considering that Stuart Ross has also been "Hazelnutted" by Satya.

Satya's reason for wanting a Laptop Lifestyle is that she's a very private, spiritual person and likes to spend several months every year in retreat. She goes to places like India, Peru and Israel.  Earning income online allows her to do that.

The interview was "off the cuff" and when I watched it again there were a few things I wish I'd added. So here they are.

In the interview Satya asked me about my old career in the Audio Visual Industry and my lifelong love of music. I explained that in both I've always taken a very honest approach.

In business development (sales ) I never had the typical sales approach - I built relationships and the business came later.

In music I've been a lead guitarist in several bands but I never wanted to be a flashy, show-offish player. I just believed in the music we made and that led to us playing all over the Uk, Italy, Cyprus and France and to some serious record companies.

With both business and music I was able to have success because I had a deep belief in what I was doing:

I believed that the audiovisual team I worked with were the best at what they did.

I believed that the songs and music we wrote were able to give people something whether that be a message of hope or just a big smile and dancin feet!

The point is that I really need to believe in what I do and I hope that comes across. I hate dishonesty, hype and hard sales. It's just not in me to recommend anything I don't fully believe in.

So like Satya I found that SFM and DEA - Stuart, Jay and everyone I've met in the community they are creating are coming from the same place. They have the same values as I do.

So if you like what you've seen in the SFM videos you've seen and the messages I send and have similar values to mine, you will be a perfect fit for our community. You are the kind of person I'm here to help because I passionately believe what is on offer here is the best. I see it changing lives every day.
