Put yourself in the driving seat!

Published: Sun, 09/21/14

I've just finished producing a new marketing video for my partner's driving instructor business. She got a new car recently so it was time to update the old video.

In the video I use images of her students who have passed(with their permission of course) . Many of them are happy to leave a short comment which I add to the images. Any time she is short of pupils I run an inexpensive ad featuring the video and she's busy again in no time.

The reason it works is that it demonstrates her success as an instructor. She doesn't have to bother competing on price. What's the benefit of looking for the cheapest instructor after all if they take longer to get the results?

You can have a look at the video by clicking here or on the image above if you like.

ON the day I finished the video on of her pupils had just passed her test first time and it made me think.

This pupil had found learning to drive very difficult and had taken a lot of lessons - 104 to be precise. This adds up to more than £2000.

If she hadn't passed first time she would have needed more lessons and would have had more test fees to pay. She was quite prepared to do this because being able to drive is one of these skills that most of us see as a necessity.

The advantages are obvious - freedom, independence and flexibility being the main motivations for most of us.

I was thinking that those are the same reasons that motivate everyone that joined SFM to learn new, life enhancing skills.

Like driving, some people take to it like a duck to water. I certainly did and because as a teenager I lived in a very quiet little village - no shops and a very infrequent bus service I was desperate to get my own transport.

For others it's more difficult and takes them longer to learn. The SFM system allows for that. It's done in modular sections that you go through at your own pace - very much like learning to drive.

So I passed my driving test  first time. I was over confident and reckless though after passing first time at 17. I had quite a few bumps and crashes over the next few years.

I was driving ordinary cars as if they were racing cars. They aren't though and public roads are not designed for racing car driving either !

I make the above comparison for a couple of reasons. First the cost. No-one that wants to learn to drive expects it to be free. In fact any learning after school costs money and most people realise that its more important to find the best teachers than the cheapest.

So if you want to learn how to create an internet business that can change your life why should that be any different? It's all about learning professional skills - the highway code if you like. Its about what makes the machine work.

An Elite membership in the SFM and DEA costs less than many people happily shell out to learn how to drive. Less than University or college fees or professional training in any area. Like any of those it's a means to an end - To become a professional person with a higher income potential and to improve your life.

Secondly the internet marketing industry is like a racetrack and the SFM training and business system is like a racing car. It's finely tuned, tested and a proven winner.

A friend and fellow member completed an expensive marketing degree before finding SFM and is in no doubt that he has learned far more about digital marketing in the real world - the one where you make money - than he ever did at Uni.

So my advice from experience is to stop looking for the next fast "opportunity" and think in terms of equipping your self with the best learning for a long term digital lifestyle.
