I had a great conversation yesterday with someone who joined SFM through me a while back. 

He had seen Jay Kubassek's webinar on Wednesday and like me had found it pretty inspiring. He also saw the sense in what Jay talked about with regards to getting positioned in the business as advantageously as you can as soon as you can. 

I know he won't mind me sharing a little of the story he shared with me.

This is a person who has been successfully running his own property business until fairly recently. As it did for many people, the recession saw his businesses run into trouble and understandably he's been pretty down about it. 

He was telling me that he had been beating himself up about it. He was telling himself he had let himself and his family down - that he had somehow failed. That started him thinking about other things that he had "failed" with over the years. 

Don't know about you but I can relate to that ! 

But he though about what Jay had been saying and changed his way of thinking. He realised that he has another business now with the potential to get it all back - and then some. 

The good thing is that when something doesn't work or breaks it's not the end of the line - You can pick yourself up, brush yourself down and start again.

The SFM and DEA is giving lots of people the opportunity to do just that. A springboard to bounce back from. 

The other thing we talked about, again a point that Jay makes often is that there is always a way. In this case we were talking about finding money to invest in our business. He gave the example of having to find funds for his sons School fees - which he did... somehow.

Entrepreneurs will always bounce back. They re-invent themselves. Doesn't matter what age you are or what your finances are or what your background is or how many times you think you've "failed" - everything is temporary when you stay motivated and surround yourself, as you can in our community, with people who inspire you. 

Finally we talked about timing. There really is never a perfect time to do anything. You will always find an excuse to put it off till the time is just so. Never will be. The time is now.
