Yes I know - it's that voice ! It's a marmite thing - some love it some hate it. It's the words though sometimes they contain genuine wisdom and Mr D himself is clueless as to where they came
from.
Why Am I talking about Bob Dylan?
I'm a bit of a fan - really just of two albums - Blood on The Tracks and Desire.
I was on youtube earlier looking for a newer song of his that I hadn't heard for a while because I wanted to hear it again and to quote the words that I found inspirational.
The song is "Change my way of thinking". He's actually talking about becoming a born again christian specifically - not for me - but each to their own. The chorus words are relevant to all sorts
of things. Here they are:
"Going to change my way of thinking - find myself a different set of rules. Going to put my best foot forward - stop being influenced by fools".
It's good advice no matter what you apply it to.
I ended up going down one of those Youtube Rabbit holes and watched a number of Bob's performances and some revealing interviews with the very reclusive man himself.
Another phrase of his struck me - "He not busy living is surely busy dying".
Every self improvement guru says the same thing in different ways. If you've read Jim Rohn, T Harv Eker, Robert Kiyosaki or the like you'll know what I mean.
We have incredible opportunities to better our lives in this new age of easy technology. To make
our own sets of rules, to get busy living, to stop being influenced by fools.
Lets do it!
All The best !
