Apply to join generation Z

I happened to catch an item on the BBC news last night that really piqued my interest.

I heard the words "generation Z" - I'd never heard the phrase before so I was all ears. 

It refers to the current generation of people who, born in the late eighties - mid nineties, have grown up taking the current state of technology and the internet for granted. 

You might have heard of Generation X? or even read the book by the same name by Douglas Coupland?

It refers to the previous generation who were growing up right at he start of things as they now are. The time when home computers went from being rare to commonplace. Mobile phones went from being useless house bricks to multi purpose portable computers. 

The time when the internet went from being a novelty to the basis of a whole new economy. 

It backs up everything that the SFM and DEA stands for and is making more and more people from baby boomers and gen X people learn what  the tech savvy generation Z youngsters already know. 

The future is online.  

That we are living in a new world, a new economy and we don't have to - probably shouldn't be trying to hang on to the old values. 

They are simply out of date. Technology allows us to create very different lives than we used to live if we just learn the ropes. Do your own research on generation Z I think you'll find it as interesting as I did. 

What we have now we wouldn't have though possible 10-20 years ago but where it's all going is pretty obvious. It's time to accept that life is going to be very different - it already is - and that we really do have to take advantage - use it to build our dreams.
