I read an interesting blog post yesterday about TV. In the post there was a statistic:
On average people spend 27 hours per week watching TV.
Does that seem a lot? Maybe look at it this way.
When you watch TV you are just watching people who are living their dreams at the expense of yours. Actors, sports
people and broadcasters who took the time to learn their craft - often with a lot of sacrifices and hard times along the way.
They did it anyway because they had the passion to never give up on what they wanted.
What else could you be doing
with that TV time?
Here's a little video I shot after reading that blog.
For one thing you could be an online business and it could be a business centred on one or
more of your passions.
Lets face it, these days we don't need to be slaves to a TV schedule - we can watch what we want when we want. We have the internet to thank for that.
I'll be honest I love TV - not all of it but there are a few shows I
just can't miss. I'm hooked on cookery shows for example - Saturday Kitchen, Food and Drink - Masterchef - love them. There are also a couple of soaps I love and I am also a film buff.
What I've been doing for some time now though is using the benefits of catch up TV and treating those shows as a reward. If I have stuff I really need to do but River City is coming on
(Its a Glasgow based soap opera and I know a few of the people in it) I tell myself I can catch it later.
That way I'm not missing anything really and I'm gaining more time to build my future - like all those Chefs, Actors and Film stars did.
You might want to do a little research on what successful TV people did to attain their dreams. Look up Sylvester Stallone for example. Just before he got his "break" he found himself homeless and at one point sold his dog so he could eat!
I'm not for a second suggesting anything that drastic but it makes you think doesn't
it ?
Unfortunately even with an online business, money doesn't fall from the sky. Dreams don't come true overnight - especially while you watch TV - but with the right systems, coaching and support - they definitely can be reached.
I have all the
proof of that I need from the people I now know through SFM who have done it or are getting there.
I'd really like you to be one of them too.
All I ask is that you think about this next time the adverts come on during your favourite TV show.
Then contact me. You have my details below and I'll go a step further. Here is my phone number. 07812 670333. If I don't answer it's because I'm talking to someone - leave a message and I WILL call you back.
Bests
