When the system that you were brought up with -  ingrained, etched into your mindset - the one you worked so hard to fit into - the one that put a roof over your head, wheels under your feet - all the  shiny, shiny things you filled your little nest box with  - other people depending on you - a sense of  security - a spring in your step - suddenly lets you down - what the hell do you do ? Especially if your of the baby boomer generation (born 1946-1964)

Sorry to seem so dramatic but this is the situation I found myself in a few years ago.

I'm talking about redundancy - the end result of a badly misjudged world economy for many many people. 

As I talk about in the blog post - for people who are in their 40's or Fifties this can be a very hard situation to recover from. Employes favour a younger workforce and if you were made redundant then the chances are that similar jobs in whatever field you were in will be scarce all round. 

The positive side to this however is that the new, digital economy is a place where all your previous experience both life and work experience can be put to good use. You have the very viable option of turning things around with an internet business. 

You can in fact turn it into the best thing that's ever happened to you!
