Dave's bonus - Day 3 - Banner Advertising

After selling my internet wine store business I got involved with a company called Banners Broker. This company is the brainchild of a computer and mathematics genius who created an affiliate business around the trillion dollar banner advertising industry. 

You may have have heard of this company for all the wrong reasons. It's still going but has been in an almost farcical state for close to 18 months for a variety of reasons that I won't bore you with. 

Suffice to say I built a Six Figure business with BB. Unfortunately I have so far only been able to actually cash out about a 10th of that money. I have over $150K "stuck" in the business and realistically don't see much chance of ever being able to get my hands on it. 

That's the problem with this kind of online business. They may be great ideas but if they are abused, mismanaged or badly thought out in the first place you are up sh*t creek without a paddle. BB made a lot of millionaires very quickly but also might well lose a lot of people a lot of money. 

This is why I looked for a stable online business and more importantly training platform that would teach me how to sell anything online. Hence SFM.

BB did show me however that banner advertising is an incredible thing. Its like having a big billboard on a busy street. If you can put the right banner in the right place you can literally make a fortune. 

So in internet marketing terms a banner is just a picture that, like keyword links, sits on top of a link that takes anyone clicking on it to your offer. You see them everywhere online. They are even targeted at you so that anything you've been looking at online magically appears as a banner on pages you look at. 

As with all forms of digital marketing the design and placement of banners is an art and science. 

SFM members are provided with a range of affiliate banners which have been expertly designed and expensively tested. If you are promoting SFM these are extremely powerful tools. Maybe that's how you got your videos? 

That's really all there is to banner advertising. You can build your own or use ready made banners from any company or product you are affiliated with. 

The SFM back office provides you with a broad range of banners which have your affiliate link pre-installed. You also get a link generator so you can use the banners to send visitors to many different landing pages (you can even create your own) and track where visitors are coming from.

Inside the back office there is detailed training on banner advertising and a huge list of places you can place them.
