In one of his videos Jay talks about the power of positioning within the DEA affiliate programme. In his inimitable style he compares this to the foundations of a building and the roots of a tree. All good comparisons to starting an online business with the best possible foundations for success. Here is how I see it.

If you decide to simply be a student member of SFM you are getting great training and some superb business tools. You also  earn small commissions when your marketing starts to pay off and people join via your efforts but - here's the rub!

Very often I hear people telling me that they are kicking themselves because they have missed out on big commissions by not positioning themselves further "up the tree". It actually happened to me with my very first Elite sale !! Here's how that happens:

You learn the ropes and start marketing using the SFM and DEA marketing materials.......

You start to get people responding to your work and some of them apply to join us...

Some of those people decide to become students and that earns you some small commissions...

Then - Someone decides to upgrade (quite a high percentage of students do) to an Elite membership. You have effectively lost a $1000 commission. My first student members upgraded to Gold and as I was at Silver I lost out on a $2000 commission. : ( 

Elite affiliates are paid commission at the same level they are positioned at and the commissions rise from £1000 to $8000 per sale. 

So if (and this happens from time to time) You have a student in your team who decides they want to position themselves at the highest level right away and upgrades to Black you could be leaving a lot of money on the table by not being positioned. 

In the above scenario, even if you were positioned at Silver and your student upgraded to Black you would earn $1000 - yes you could have earned $8000 if you were at Black yourself but you get the point? 

These are amongst the highest levels of commission in the online industry and considering the same company is training it's affiliates how to make those commissions, I would suggest  it's a no brainer to get positioned at least at Elite Silver. If you do this within your first 10 days after your application consultation call you get a very nice discount. 

Before forming SFM and DEA Stuart Ross and Jay Kubassek made it a point to position at the highest level of the pay plan they could in every affiliate business they entered. That's how they made the millions....
