Hi
Last night’s family Zoom party was fun
I’d been asked to give a toast to the future and decided to base it around a few of my favourite quotes
I did plan a musical approach but had a last minute change of heart
Although these are pretty old they are still super relevant today so I thought I’d share then with you too as we near Christmas 2020
Which if it was an episode of friends would be called “The one where we all stayed at home”
Any where here they are:
“Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.”
― Søren Kierkegaard
“If you want to be happy, do not dwell in the past, do not worry about the future, focus on living fully in the present.”
― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
“I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.”
― Albert Einstein
Do not let the memories of your past limit the potential of your future. There are no limits to what you can achieve on your journey through life, except in your mind.”
― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
“The past is always tense, the future perfect.”
― Zadie Smith
“It's being here now that's important. There's no past and there's no future. Time is a very misleading thing. All there is ever, is the now. We can gain experience from the past, but we can't relive it; and we can hope for the future, but we don't know if there is one.”
― George Harrison
Life always offers you a second chance - its called tomorrow - Dylan Thomas
Here's to your bright digital future!
Cheers!
Dave
