Tomorrow we - me and my better half that is - go back to what was our normal a few months back
Here in Scotland, driving lessons resume from today and my partner’s diary is fuller than it was pre-lockdown with both “paused” pupils and new ones
She has mixed feelings about it. In the last few months we have enjoyed the time we’ve had together
We’ve spent a lot of it on what brought us together in the first place - music
Last night we finished mixing a new song and put the finishing touches to the video for it. We have several more in the pipeline
That aside the lamp business she started during lockdown is thriving and looks like it could become the full time, creative, from home business she would like it to be
Thanks again to the Internet
I quite enjoy helping out with the websites and photography and my online business gives me the time to do it
I will say though that it will be good (I think) to have the house to myself more.
So we really cant complain
On the other hand I read a sad Facebook post from an old friend and colleague from my AV days yesterday.
He listed all the AV organisations and events organisations that have gone to the wall as a result of Covid 19
The one that both of us were made redundant from is on that list but neither of us are celebrating that
Its an industry that has been gutted by this pandemic and thousands of people have lost jobs, businesses and careers from it
They don’t want to have to learn new skills or work out how to start again outside of lifestyle and industry they loved
But like so many other people they will probably have to
So nothing to promote from me today - no links
Just a sincere hope that you are finding a way through this mess if it has taken a lot from you
Bests
Dave
