Hope you had a great Monday 

 

I spent most of Sunday attending part 2 of a virtual event hosted by Digital Experts Academy 

 

I’m still digesting most of what I learned - this is top level stuff from some of the world’s top internet entrepreneurs after all 

 

But I couldn’t help but laugh when I opened my email this morning 

 

To find several mails  promoting  “Instant results” type marketing products from an affiliate network I’m subscribed to

 

The difference between marketing reality and marketing nonsense was just so stark after Sunday’s event.

 

Like chalk and cheese

 

The only reason I haven’t unsubscribed from this particular mailing list is that amongst all the tripe their are occasional gems

 

I ignore the “Instant mega traffic!!” or “Everything done for you!!” crap but I do sometimes look at and sometimes buy actual tools that help me with elements of my business 

 

I’ve bought and use several video making tools for example

 

They don’t “Instantly!!” make me a better marketer but they do help me get my messages across more effectively  (also I’m a bit of a video geek 🤣)

 

Real internet marketing - the kind you can be proud of (as taught by my Mentors at SFM and DEA) 

 

Helps people solve problems.

 

And the biggest problem many people have right now is how the hell are they going to make a living after Coronavirus is done with us?

 

How the hell are they going to support their families if their job or business doesn’t survive 6 months of lockdown or the recession that’s coming our way?

 

A very effective solution to the problem is to learn how to leverage the thriving digital economy by learning how to do affiliate marketing or e-commerce. 

 

Or by learning how to grow an existing business online

 

Or to help other businesses grow online   

 

The thing is when you have internet marketing skills these days the world really is your oyster 

 

Absolutely no need for cheap and nasty magic tricks
