Â
A video by a complete stranger made me hand over my credit card!Â
Â
In this case it was a local person’s video on Facebook advertising their holiday home which is available to rent again as lockdown begins to relax.
Â
It was just a simple video where the owner walked around the various parts of the house, garden, features (hot tub etc) and lovely viewsÂ
Â
But I knew that it had been made with a little gadget I’ve toyed with buying for a whileÂ
Â
It’s called a GimbalÂ
Â
Basically its a clever handle thing that works like the steadycams used in professional TV and movies and in drones.Â
Â
It makes things very smooth for one thing and has a bunch of controls that access clever stuff like panning, slo mo, time lapse and “follow”
Â
Now these aren’t new but the ads for them always looked too good to be true. You could tell that they had been made with a big budget, professional actors, amazing lighting etc……
Â
But this little video by just an “ordinary” person with none of that showed exactly how the Gimbal could enhance my own videosÂ
Â
So I jumped online and did some researchÂ
Â
An hour or so later and I’d found the one that looked right for me and my Iphone and had the best reviews on Amazon and YoutubeÂ
Â
It arrived on Saturday and it’s awesome! - Check it out here
Â
I’ll be using it a lot and will share my videos with youÂ
Â
If you get one for fun or business yourself I’m sure you’ll love it tooÂ
