An email notifying me that one of my photo’s has sold prompted today’s email.
A great investment is one that really pays off - preferably in multiple ways
I’m looking at two of mine right now as I write this and this email is another
So thats three I guess……
1. My 1990’s Fender Stratocaster.
After all my guitar equipment was stolen my old boss and Friend Liz lent me the money for a new guitar and amp. I don’t have the amp any more but the guitar has served me well live and in the studio for 20 years. It has paid for itself financially too by helping me get paid gigs and tours. Its also featured on the many CD’s we sold in the process.
2. My Canon DSLR.
I’ve been a keen photographer since my early teens. First with 35mm film and cheap Russian cameras. I even had my own little cupboard darkroom in the parental home. Then of course digital came along and photography became so much easier. I worked my way through a succession of digital cameras ending with the Canon 7d. I started selling photos online soon after.
When I started my online career proper I first started using the video function on the camera to create videos promoting various affiliate products and to make music videos. That’s when it seriously started to pay for itself. This camera is a money making machine!
It goes without saying that both of the above are also invaluable creative tools to me.
3. Aweber
Aweber is the software I use to send emails to thousands of subscribers. It’s the key to List building - the heartbeat of an online business.
It allows me automate a lot of the business. For example the SFM 7 day video series you probably subscribed for. That goes out automatically as soon as someone submits an email to receive it.
It can do many more powerful things too and integrates with pretty much every online tool and platform -
