Hi
Friday again and July is fast approaching
I had hoped that my brother would be able to visit us for the weekend
Unfortunately though, Scotland’s first minister has decided to ease slowly into phase 2 of lockdown here.
So we can’t get together quite yet. Hopefully next week.
Of course we could have just said - the hell with it - and gone ahead with the weekend plans
We are brothers after all and would have spent the weekend in the house and garden anyway
And its not as if we are being stopped and questioned at the ferry terminal!
But beating this thing is a team effort and if we don’t all play our part and behave like a community we stand a very high risk of creating a second wave of Corona
It’s amazing what communities can achieve after all
Some experts suggest that some sort of community model will eventually replace governments as a means of managing society
I certainly glad that Stuart and Jay at Mentors decided to run their business on a community model.
I’m also glad that they turned down eye-watering amounts of cash for their business when it was offered all those years ago
If they had taken the money and ran off to the beach, their amazing community platform would just be yet another mean spirited corporate beast who’s leaders you would never meet
Interested only in their bottom line and thinking of people as numbers
Fortunately they didn’t.
And the community continues to evolve and grow with the times
And the times haven’t half changed of late!
