Predicting the worst recession since the great depression of the 1930’s

 

It’s certainly going to be a very different world when alls said and done. 

 

Some of things we can expect to see drastically changed are financial security, the availability of new jobs and the value of our pension pots (I’m currently recoup one of my pensions as the company holding the investment has gone into administration)

 

The retail industry was already suffering before Covid19 came along and put many more retail stores into administration. Those jobs are not coming back.

 

Businesses that survive this pandemic will be looking at the huge savings they can make by keeping their workforce at home 

 

During the last major recession (which cost me my career) my employers shed most of their full time employees in favour of freelancers. 

 

This is now common in the audio visual industry but will become common in many other industries where not having a big permanent staff saves fortunes and offers tons of flexibility.

 

So you need to be giving some serious thought to what you can do to create financial security and peace of mind in a post corona world.

 

There is one thing that can pretty much guarantee that for as long as you need it (maybe past your previously planned retirement age) 

 

Its THE INTERNET (of course)
