I hope you are keeping well and safe as lockdown continues
Â
The good news is that it seems to be workingÂ
Â
All though all the statistics can be confusing it does seem like this damned virus is starting to slow down
Â
And that is entirely dues to us all following the advice we’ve been given about self isolating and social distancingÂ
Â
Its weird, difficult and unlike anything we’ve been through beforeÂ
Â
But we really should all give ourselves a round of applause for sticking it out so far and agreeing to do what it takes to defeat thisÂ
Â
That’s what happened here last Thursday and is happening all over the worldÂ
Â
At 8pm on Thursday we happened to be listening to the radio when an announcement was made that a nationwide “clapping” was to take place.
Â
We opened our front window and joined in with our neighbours clapping and waving in thanks to each other and to the front line carers dealing with coronavirus sufferersÂ
Â
The feeling was of solidarity and communityÂ
Â
Today is Easter Monday and in normal times would be a holiday for most of usÂ
Â
This year things are different but we can still - religious or not - appreciate the message of rebirth and look forward to the end of this lockdown, this horrible virus and look forward to what’s nextÂ
Â
Maybe the start of a completely new way of living ….Â
Â
Â
BestsÂ
