As this “C” situation becomes ever more all consuming I thought I’d chip in with some practical tips that might help
These are specific to the UK but most countries will have similar strategies in place so you can at least investigate if you are not UK based.
At the risk of repeating myself my first tip (wherever in the world you are) is to start preparing now for what’s coming after “lockdown” : New skills, work from home business ideas, internet marketing skills

But meantime most people are not working and therefore not earning.
In the UK the government has stepped in with various relief packages you should be aware of - if not they are:
Employed people off work because of coronavirus will be paid 80% of their income
Self employed people to be paid 80% of their average profits over the last 3 years. Accounts must be up to date to qualify and HMRC have extended the 2018/19 tax return date to end of April.
In both cases there are timescales and ceilings on when and how much will be paid. The self employed grant will not be paid until June for example.
In both cases there is a cap on the monthly income level the 80% will be paid on.
In the interim income support has been increased and broadened. This is case by case so you will need to contact the relevant authority to apply.
Some mortgage companies are offering a 3 month payment holiday which might be very useful to some. Bear in mind though that these payments will be added to the end of the term and taking the holiday may increase your interest rate.
Some credit card companies are offering a similar payment holiday so long as you have been making your agreed payments. Again this will vary from company to company to so do your own research.
Car MOTs: If your MOT was due on or after March 30th it has been extended for 6 months. Obviously your car will still need to be roadworthy and safe.
Finally some fun stuff I’ve found recently. All sorts of businesses are coming up with great ideas to fill in time constructively - these 2 are aligned with my passions.
Apple have just announced that they are offering 90 day free trials on their Logic Pro and Final cut products.
These are industry leading professional audio and video recording and production programmes.
This ties in pretty nicely with “getting new skills” don’t you think?
So dire though things look right now, there is plenty to be positive about.
If you are more or less confined to home for 3 months or more and don’t waste that time you could emerge with:
A Home based Internet business
A thorough grounding in music or video production
Hope this is useful info
Stay safe
