I sincerely hope you are managing ok through this incredibly difficult time.

 

We’re dealing with the loss of our beautiful cat Skye who was killed by a car on Monday so the PM’s "lock down" message that evening was watched through tears.  

 

There’s a lot of mixed messages, conspiracy theories and general confusion going around as I’m sure you know 

 

We are all trying to find out how we are going to cope with weeks or months of home confinement and loss of earnings. 

 

My partner is a driving instructor and her business has literally stopped until further notice

 

Luckily my business - which is online - is unaffected so far. In fact it’s actually doing pretty well as more and more people look to the web for for their needs. 

 

No wonder with most shops now closed. 

 

But they are also looking ahead at the future. A crisis like this changes everything and many of the businesses and jobs that are lost during this one won’t be coming back.

 

The strongest and most positive messages I’m seeing stress the need for education around new skills 

 

Primarily those skills that will let you work from home - the Internet is the obvious place to do this 

 

So today - since you may well be stuck at home with some time on your hands
