I read an interesting article on Medium this morning
Medium, if you’re not familiar, is one of the emerging social media platforms which deals with really well put together written media
You create a free account and select the subjects you’re interested in reading about.
Just go to medium.com to get started
Anyway this article was titled - How to turn your dreams into reality (even though most people never do)
Interesting title eh? I’d recommend you get your fee account and search for that article. Here’s a quick summary for now.
In it the writer discusses the positive thinking thing that we are so often told will get us where we want to be
He argues with the idea (as I do) that positive thinking magically works on it’s own
Phrase like - “If you can dream it you can do it” or “what you believe can be achieved”, which are common in the self development arena tend to feed this belief in some kind of magical process
It suggests - and many people seem to believe it - that you can just skip all the training, hard work and mistakes along the way to your dreams if only you employ positive thinking.
He goes on to point out that positive thinking has to be combined with action for it to work.
Just wanting it badly doesn’t work
Then he goes on to suggest that there are two different worlds: The one most people live in “the normal world” which comes fully stocked with ready made excuses for why you cant do the things you actually want to do
Then there’s the “Universe of the dreamers”.
A much harder world to live in at first - everything is so un familiar and most of your friends, family and peers just don’t get it
But that where you have to be if you want something different form “normal”
Although its getting to be much more common now, choosing to build your dreams with the vast power of the Internet still gets a lot of blank stares when you tell people that’s what you’re doing
Even though they might envy the time, location freedom and financial independence they can clearly see you have
It all seems too unreal, too difficult or too risky
It isn’t
Not when you can join a worldwide community of people who are doing it with the help of experienced mentors, trainers and their tried and tested systems
These people talk a lot about positive thinking and mindset change but they also stress the importance of combining those with action.
More importantly they tell you what that action actually is and how to take it.
Obviously I’m talking about the Six Figure Mentors whose free video series you have seen
But that may have been some time ago or maybe you didn’t see all 7 videos for some reason
So here, inspired by that Medium article is a link to a page where you can take a refresher and get them all on one page - SFM Free Video series
Enjoy
Cheers!
