Well here we are - week 2 of 2020
The week when most of us are getting properly back in to the swing of things after the holidays
For some it’s back to the 9-5 grind and the dreaded January blues
For other’s like one of my new SFM students who got started on New Year’s day
It’s time to really start on those new year’s, life changing resolutions and make 2020 the year when they took the reins and finally took charge of their own future.
No doubt you’ve watched a fair bit of TV over the last couple of weeks and will have noticed how much advertising has ramped up over this period?
Most of it passes me by I have to say - we usually mute the TV during the ads
But there is one ad that does stand out for me because the message is so clear and so very very true
If you’re in the UK you may have seen it
It features Scottish actor James Cosmo and is for a major bank - particularly around their savings and mortgages products.
James - who has been in pretty much every film or TV series that calls for a gruff, wise old Scotsman
In this ad - part of a long running series - he appears as the character he played in Game of Thrones (Jeor Mormont)
It’s a short ad and it ends with him saying.....
“There is one sure fire way of getting something done”
[Dramatic Pause]
