Iām getting a lot of activity from Quora these daysĀ
Ā
If youāre not familiar, its a Question and answer platform which you can also advertise onĀ
Ā
When you set up a profile on Quora you choose the subjects you can answer questions on and/or would like answers on.Ā
Ā
From a marketing point of view itās a great idea. Think about itā¦.
Ā
People are typing in questions they want answers to. If you can answer questions on subjects related to your business it helps you to be seen as an authority in that sphere
Ā
If youāre not too pushy about it you can then point them to the related products you promote.
Ā
Its worth checking out - just Google itĀ
Ā
Trouble is, as you might expect, some of the questions are pretty dumb and you wonder why the asker didnāt just Google itĀ
Ā
And some trends really stick out after a while.
Ā
Example: One of the subjects I put myself out there for is music (playing and recording specifically)Ā
Ā
Iām seeing an awful lot of āWho is better between X and Y?ā or āWho is the best drummer/guitarist/singer?ā
Ā
Since these are really completely subjective questions I donāt bother answering themĀ
Ā
The only valid reason for comparing yourself to someone else is to learn from themĀ
Ā
Its the same in the Internet marketing business as in any other fieldĀ
Ā
There is no point for example in trying to be just like a āguruā or mentor you admireĀ
Ā
There is a lot of point though, in studying what they do to get the results they getĀ
Ā
Thatās really the whole concept behind Six Figure Mentors and Digital Experts Academy whoes video series you have seenĀ
Ā
And you know what all of these people have in common - the musicians, actors, sportspeople and gurus - that people are so keen (on Quora at least) to compare?
Ā
They take action.Ā
Ā
Thatās one of the secrets of success - START!Ā šĀ
Ā
Ā
Cheers!
