Recently I shared my video and blog reviews on Viddyoze and Content Samurai with you
They are both suited to different tasks:
Viddyoze is great for adding “amazingness” to videos which you are editing
Whereas Content Samurai builds the entire video for you based on text you write
I use Viddyoze pretty much every time I create a new video
Until yesterday I had really just played around with Content Samurai to see what I can do with it
But yesterday I created a short video for my partner’s Driving Instruction business and used it as a Facebook advert.
It’s already had quite a few views and she has been messaged by several potential new customers.
Here’s how to do that and why Content Samurai is perfect for this
I created the video (see demo again here for a recap)
I used some images and clips of my own to make the video more relevant to her particular business and to the area she covers
I also used a snippet of one of own tunes
Other than that I just used the clips and images Content Samurai found for me.
The video is only 30 seconds long and is in square format which suits Facebook and instagram and looks amazing on mobile (where most people spend their Facebook time)
I uploaded the video to Her facebook business page
Then I opted for a simple boosted post advert which can be done in minutes.
Facebook, like most online advertising platforms provides lots of ways to accurately target who you want to see your ads - your ideal target audience basically
I selected an advertising goal: In this case to get leads and enquiries.
I chose all ages and both sexes - that’s fine for driving lessons
I selected the very specific local areas that her business covers
And added a few interests: Travel, career development, learning, driving
The finished ad includes (because of the goal selected) a button which lets the viewer send a messenger enquiry with an automated response
“Thanks for your enquiry, I’m probably teaching right now but will get back to you ASAP”
Finally I chose to run the ad for 7 days with a maximum budget of £10
So for about an hours work in total (Using our own music and images took a little longer) and a cost of £10 we already have a couple of possible results
If even one of those (the ad has only been live for a day by the way) enquiries turns into a customer for my partner’s business the ROI is amazing:
Most learners need on average 30- 40 lessons.
At £27 per lesson that’s £810 to £1080
Also - Some of our friends and my partner’s former and current pupils have seen the video and have asked “How did you do that?” or commented on how great it looks
There’s a possibility that I’ll generate some side income by doing simple videos and ads for other local businesses
Since the process takes so little time, I may even use my SFM skills and tools to build a little website and start marketing my video services
And people ask me why I love the Internet so much! 😉
Cheers!
