Before I got serious about working out how to make a living on the internet after being laid off in my late 40’s
I studied teaching english as a foreign language (TEFL) I got my certificate but really just thought of it as a back up plan
Then I decided I’d do a further course on how to do it Online
I was really determined to work from home - or from anywhere I could plug my Laptop into the Internet
And that was the first thing that got me pointed towards Internet marketing
Because although the course taught exactly how to put a TEFL course together and run in via the internet
It had no advice whatsoever on how to find customers online
So I went looking for information on that
Which is how I found SFM
And decided that I was actually more passionate about learning and teaching digital skills which are basically a new kind of language
Plus of course I had found that TEFL doesn’t really pay very well
While digital skills can be used in lots of different ways - many of which can be very profitable indeed
But you know I still see a similarity between marketing on the internet and teaching english as a foreign language:
Lots of people to whom English is not their first language can speak it quite well
Just as lots of people can learn the basics of selling stuff on the internet and make pocket money
But to be really good at either you need to learn from people who are fluent
With English this can be the difference between mixed meanings, confusion or even unintentional faux pas, and speaking like a native
With Internet marketing it can be the difference between trying to sell to everyone (which usually results in selling to no one)
Or selling to an precise audience who you know is hungry for what you have (the internet is the only place where you can do this with laser targeted accuracy)
That’s the true value in the training provided by SFM and why you should join
If you are keen to capitalise on the Digital Gold rush which is still actually in its infancy - always the best time to jump aboard
Cheers!
