Some friends and fellow SFM/DEA members put together an astonishing collection of statistics recently
Basically they are all predictions of how the world as we know it know will change over the next 20 years or so
I’m passionate about waking people up to this stuff too so I wanted to share some of it with you.
But frankly there was too much to absorb in one go
So what I thought I’do is split it over a few emails for you
And a good place to start would be with two areas I’m very familiar with and can speak from experience
1. Cars and Driving.
My partner owns her own driving tuition business so this one could affect her hugely (she’s already looking at online sales as an option)
So check this out: Today’s babies will never learn to drive or own a car………..
What!??
Futurists confidently predict that the motor industry will start being turned upside down as soon as next year
Self driving. electric cars are the future and for lots of good reasons:
I million fatal accidents prevented every year;
90-95% less cars = far less pollution;
Millions of car parks can be re-purposed;
Massive savings - all we’ll need to pay for is the driven distance - and we’ll be able to be productive as we travel
Amazing stuff but bad news for car insurers, car park owners and driving Instructors
And if car manufacturers don’t change from just evolving better cars to building computers on wheels (Like Google, Tesla and Apple) they will all go bankrupt.
2. Business
This one can be summed up really quickly:
Any Idea designed to succeed in the 20th Century is doomed to fail in the 21st
Any business idea from now on that doesn’t work with your phone - forget it!
The future is both scary and bright folks
With 70-80% of jobs set to disappear in the next 20 years and no guarantee that an equal number of new jobs will be created
It really is time to realise that digital education is the future both as an essential survival tool and as the business to be in now.
Thats why Six Figure mentors and Digital Experts Academy are set to become a household name
Next time I’ll look at a couple more exciting/scary stats
Cheers!
