More and more I find science fiction becoming science fact 

 

We already take for granted a lot of the stuff that SF writers conjured up from their imaginations not that long ago:

 

Talking to each other anywhere in the world via handheld video “telecommunicators"

 

Operating household equipment and ordering goods and services by voice control  

 

And my favourite - Turning our backs on the 9-5 routine by leveraging internet business models.

 

And Now.......

 

I was reading a fascinating article about how technology is now set to vastly increase our Longevity 

 

Bioscientists are working on ways to re-engineer our biology and are sure that within 20 years 

 

lifespans of 110 or 120 years  will be entirely possible - even the norm 

 

Amazing though that is, it does cause some financial worries

 

Barclay’s Bank have published THIS WHITE PAPER on the subject 

 

Its well worth reading carefully 

 

At present our economy, banks and financial institutions couldn’t possibly support that 

 

We’ve already seen pension pots wiped out by financial crises 

 

So realistically we need to look at self-funding our retirement for possibly much longer than we had previously thought 

 

And that is why starting an online business which will create passive income in years to come and offer a legacy for your children is such a smart plan right now.

 

And maybe don’t leave it too long either if you want to enjoy all those extra years
