I remember some wise words I heard a long time ago that have stuck with me ever since
“A Dog can’t chase two rabbits”
These came from a Yorkshire man who was giving a presentation about an online business I was interested
It’s kind of a Yorkshire expression I believe, I’ve since heard other variations:
“You can’t ride two horses” being another
Anyway, it was said in answer to the question “Can I do this business as a sideline to my other business?”
It chimed with me because I’d learned from experience that not many people make it when their attention and focus is divided
With so much information out there about creating income online and so many ways to do it
It’s tempting to think “Well I can do a bit of this and a bit of that”
Before you know it you have 10 websites and 20 different products to sell
And guess what?
You end up too stretched to make any of them work
Especially if you’re picking up your training, knowledge and mentorship from half a dozen places - all with conflicting information
Much better in my experience to “Pick a horse and ride it”, or “Chase one Rabbit”
For me that was Six Figure Mentors and later Digital Experts Academy (Their High -Ticket, advanced platform)
Mainly because with them, its all there in one place
You’ve got the training, support, mentorship and community on one hand
And a suite of high paying products on the other with several recurring income streams built in
Of course their unique digital marketing system provides the option to create multiple affiliate businesses in any niche you fancy
But as I’ve said, its a much better idea to stick with one main business until its paying you enough to consider outsourcing parts of it or entirely new niches
In my book that business should be established - nearly 10 years in the case of SFM - and should provide you everything you need.
It’s also why it’’s great to be able to talk with a full time dedicated adviser as soon as you submit your application
And discuss your aims, expectations and goals with them in an open way.
Cheers!
