When I wrote a blog post recently about my passion for all things digital - in particular the opportunities the Digital World has presented us with
I didn’t talk about one big disadvantage
In fact Its only just occurred to me now
I don’t mean the loss of jobs or the impact on whole industries that computers the internet, A.I. and automation
That’s inevitable with any revolution and actually presents more and better opportunities than it destroys for those ready to change with it
I mean the overall “Want it now!!!” culture that seems to have developed from it
It’s happened because the digital world actually does put instant gratification at our fingertips in so many ways
We’ve got used to instant photos, instant knowledge, shopping from bed and getting the goods next day.
We love all those apps that get things done instantly
That too is amazing but it simply doesn’t apply to EVERYTHING
You can’t for example start an internet business from scratch and expect results NOW!!!
It takes a little time and the best way to do it is to build a solid foundation to start with
THEN - it becomes a sleek machine that takes very little time to operate and needs very little maintenance
And that is very, very well worth a little patience in the early days.
Cheers!
