If you’re looking into SFM you may have seen some negativity out there that might be holding you back.
You'll see this online about pretty much anything you look into
I just wanted to put some perspective on this as someone who has been a member for a number of years and has invested over $10k in SFM and partner organisation DEA.
Even if I hadn’t made this back in commissions many times over - which I have - I would still consider this the best investment I’ve ever made - here’s why.
I’ve just mentioned investment and that is how anyone looking at this should approach it - as an investment in yourself.
I think because SFM and DEA offer a business opportunity as well as an education platform and suite of internet marketing tools some people can get confused.
From some of the negative reviews I’ve seen that seems to be the case.
Stuart and Jay go to to some length to explain that they are not offering any kind of get rich, automatic income programme or scheme.
They stress that they provide a very high level of training and mentorship to people who are coming into what is probably an entirely new profession and for many their first venture as entrepreneurs.
Some people take to this like ducks to water others take longer - just paying out some money doesn’t entitle you to or guarantees you success. You need to do the work for that to happen.
I’ll use the analogy of learning to play a guitar to explain:
Imagine you decided you wanted to become a great guitarist but had never picked up a guitar in your life.
You could, if you had the money, go into a music shop and buy a top of the range guitar - maybe even a signature model endorsed by your favourite guitar hero
Would this suddenly make you a great guitarist? Of course not
You would have to as I did, spend lots of time learning how to play it. You’d study musical theory, learn where all the notes were, how to form chords, how to tune up, how to put new strings on adjust the action - a million different things
You could do this on your own but most guitarists who are serious about mastering the instrument find teachers, take lessons and practice practice practice
But a teacher can only show you how to do things - they won’t be standing behind you 24/7 with their arms through yours playing for you!
Then and again this is different for everyone - there comes a time when they have developed some mastery of the guitar
At that point they can pick up ANY guitar and sound great
Lots of people give up somewhere along the line. I did shortly after buying my first electric guitar. It was horribly difficult and very painful to play even though I could play an acoustic guitar quite well and had taken classical lessons
But a little later I met an old friend I hadn’t seen for years. I’d heard he had become a very good player and when I explained that I’d given up he asked to see the guitar - which had been banished to a cupboard gathering dust.
He quickly showed me how to replace the strings with lighter ones and how to adjust the action to make it much easier to press the strings.
Very soon I was playing again and never looked back. That knowledge changed my life. I got back into learning, practicing and playing with devotion
I began writing songs, joined bands and started playing gigs. I met my life partner a multi instrumentalist and singer and learned how to record and produce our music. We played all over Europe sometimes supporting major bands and sold self produced CD’s
And to think I nearly gave up - for want of some basic insights - insights which by the way I would happily have paid for and saved myself a lot of time had I known where to get them
Now I don’t think learning how to market goods and services on the internet is anything like as hard as learning an instrument but I hope you see my point
To be successful at anything takes commitment and hard work - even with the best tools, teachers and resources ( and the tools we have at our disposal in the digital world really are awe inspiring)
If you go in expecting everything to be handed to you on a plate just because you’ve spent some money you are kidding yourself on and you will never get there.
If on the other you can see the advantage of investing in mentorship - learning form people who have achieved what you want to achieve
Then SFM could be a very good fit for you
Cheers!
Dave
