Some time ago I joined a forum called Quora
Its an online platform where where you can asks and answer questions on pretty much anything
I offered to answer questions on Internet marketing/lifestyle, music and video making
As this platform has grown, a trickle of questions on these subjects has become a daily flow of questions
And a trend has become apparent …….
So many people are overly interested in comparisons - like:
“Is this guitarist better than this guitarist?”
“Is this Youtube channel better than this one?”
“Is this band better than this one?”
I’ve stopped answering those type of questions because they are completely subjective - they are in the eye (or ear) of the beholder
I see this with the people getting started in the internet business industry too
They often compare their results with others and wonder why they aren’t getting the same results in the same timescale for example - even though they have exactly the same resources.
And the biggest mistake they make is trying to copy those whose results they want
When just as with music, they should be developing their own style and working out who their audience is.
With so many people looking for answers and solutions on the Internet there is a “tribe” out their for everyone who can offer the answers and solutions - even if they are the same answers and solutions that someone else is providing
The simple truth is that your unique way of presenting them is what will bring you success
Not everyone will “get you” but plenty will just as not everyone likes guitarist A or guitarist B
Understanding this is key to success in anything on the Internet
Cheers!
