Gary Vaynerchuk, whose latest book “Ask Gary Vee”, I won in a video competition last year (it’s great)
Is often stopped for a selfie or a quick word when his car is stopped at traffic lights en-route to meetings in New York
He often films these exchanges on his phone and puts them on his Youtube channel - he also discusses then in his books
One of my favourites is a very short exchange he has with a young woman who spots him in the back of his limo while stopped in traffic and waves at him with great excitement, phone raised in the “selfie?” position
Gary opens his window and says hello
After the initial “I’ve read all your books and I’m your biggest fan” exchange she says after getting her selfie
“ Can you give me one sentence that’ll change my life?”
Gary laughs and says “Ok here it is” …….
“You are going to die”.
The young woman totally gets it - “OK so DO SOMETHING right?”.
“You got it - good luck” says GV as his car pulls away
So true isn’t it.
Gary Vaynerchuk knows more than most that the place to DO SOMETHING with your limited time in this world is the Internet
He used the Internet to turn his family’s flagging wine business into an “overnight” success and to create numerous 7 and 8 figure businesses for himself and many others
And he’s done it just by being himself on multiple online platforms each of which he has mastered and leveraged fully
Could you do this?
Maybe, maybe not - we don’t all have his drive, energy and personality
The point is though the internet gives us all this level playing field to work on - like nothing else on earth
You don’t need to be rich to start with, you don’t need to be young, pretty, a genius, whizz kid or to be born with a unique talent
All you need is a strong WHY (The clouds you aim for as Gary V describes it) and a willingness to learn the ropes (the dirt as he describes it)
Those are the exact principles that SFM built their unique platform around - and why “Ask Gary V” was the prize they gave in that competition I mentioned
Most of us can’t afford to hire Mr V’s services and most of us won’t stop him for a quick one liner
But most of us can learn how to leverage modern technology to build the kind fo lives we ideally want to live - in the time we have
When we have the right mentors, plug into the right systems and learn the right ropes
All of which can be found at SFM - you just need to apply
Cheers!
