Obviously most people come to SFM because they want to learn how to create a lifestyle business on the internet
A business that provides much better income potential while also taking less time than a job (or jobs) and is easier and less expensive to set up than a traditional bricks and mortar business
But as they get deeper into things they realise - as I have done - that they are actually learning a skill set that can take them in almost limitless directions.
Today I spent a couple of hours on Skype with a good friend of mine who I met at an SFM event in London 3 years ago.
We were on the same flight home which we almost missed - but that's another story
We’ve met again at other
events and have kept in touch regularly throughout.
My friend’s parents both suffer from dementia and it looks like my dad is heading that way too.
So we have decided to pool our skills and energies into a new venture
A
web based portal designed to provide advice, resources, products and support to people who find themselves looking after loved ones at home who have been diagnosed with some form of dementia.
Its something we feel we can put heart and soul into.
Without our SFM training, mentorship and know how we
wouldn’t have had a clue where to start a project like this
But that’s a very familiar story amongst SFM members who frequently go on to build all sorts of amazing projects
Another friend Geri is doing the same for children with dyslexia and forms of autism both of which her little girl has recently been
diagnosed with
Because in the end, as the SFM founders found themselves, making a ton of money online and “living the life of Reilly” is great, but it isn’t a particularly satisfying end goal.
Empowering people with life changing, world improving skills definitely is
I’ll keep you posted
Cheers!
