When we booked our trip to Madrid last month we chose to spend as little as possible on flights - we prefer to spend our cash when we get there rather than on the tedious process of getting there.

But it meant my partner and I were sitting at opposite ends of the plane last Friday when we flew out.

This doesn’t bother us as we tend to read books or watch downloaded movies on our phones during flights anyway.

So until I had finished watching a movie and removed my headphones I had hardly noticed the person sat next to me. 

I’d noticed she was getting through a few glasses of wine even though it was only 10am or so - each to their own.

Then I noticed she was struggling to open a bottle of what looked like Rose wine she had brought with her.

Naughty! : ) 

I said “Can I help”, and she gratefully handed me the bottle which I opened for her

It turned out to be an expensive Gin flavoured with with ginger and rhubarb and she offered me some 

What the hell - I’m on holiday! I thought -  also we had a taxi pre-booked to take us from the airport to our apartment - so no need for a totally clear head.

We got talking.

It turned out that she was a nervous flyer and a couple of drinks helps her forget that she is travelling at 400 mph in a tin can 30,000 above the earth. Fair enough. Good point.

During our chat she asked what I did and I told her I ran an online business. 

“That must keep you busy”, she said 

“Actually”, I replied “It gives me a ton of free time which is why we are able to travel when and where we want to.

She didn’t ask for details and I didn’t volunteer any 

Because this affiliate marketing thing is not about trying to make sales in the traditional way - its about sharing and recommending 

When I have conversations like this I never push it. If someone is interested in details I’ll just ask for an email and offer send them some videos - the same ones that changed my life 5 years ago 

The same ones that I sent you - when you requested them after watching a video, reading a post or seeing an ad related to something you were interested in 

This, in case you sometimes wonder, is why I share with you details about my own life in these emails.

All I’m doing is providing an honest view of what discovering and joining SFM has made possible for me and a great many people who I now know.
