Yesterday we took a little trip out to the nearby Island of Bute and spent the day wandering around it’s biggest town Rothesay
We went there a year or so ago and didn’t really like it but we drove further round the Island’s coast and loved it
After Donald Campbell’s famous speed record breaking boat The Bluebird was recently refurbished and tested just off Bute (he died when it crashed on Lake Coniston in the lake district) we thought it was worth
another look.
This time we loved the place for some reason and are actually considering moving there at some point.
Its weird isn’t it that it sometimes takes a re-visit to actually “get it”.
Rothesay was a very famous UK holiday in Victorian days when it
was home to some of the wealthiest entrepreneurs and business people in the country.
It’s still very popular to this day but has a semi-run down feel to it now since foreign holidays became so cheap and popular
Why go to “The Madiera of the North” as it was once known, when you can go to the real thing and be
guaranteed nicer weather?
But the place is going through something of a revival now and we seriously enjoyed our long wander through it's quaint streets and the old castle it’s built around
Like I say - sometimes you just need to take a second or third look at things to actually appreciate
them
I know this is a bit of a leap but maybe you need to take another look at the benefits of joining SFM….
I’ve put together a “How It Works”
guide to SFM which summarises the benefits and all the other need to know stuff
Just click here to check it out if its been a while since you watched your free 7 day series
Cheers!
