Apparently it’s a Bank Holiday here in the UK today
Quite honestly I only knew this because of TV ads trying to sell me a
new couch!
And yet only a few years ago when I was a corporate wage slave Bank Holidays and public holidays were like Gold dust to me
They were marked in the calendar, looked forward to and planned for
They
meant an extended weekend off work (we never spent that time buying couches though!)
These days they mean nothing at all to me because Mondays and Fridays are pretty much like any other day
If I choose not work on them that’s OK
When you make your income on the internet you leverage systems that take care of most of the work for you
Nothing magical, secret, or mysterious about it
It’s just the way it works.
As an
example: Last week I shot a new video for an advert aimed at people just like me - musicians who are trapped in a day job which is not only unfulfilling but takes them further and further away from the things they are most passionate about - making music.
On Friday - just before we headed off for the weekend to spend time with a relative who just lost her lifelong soul mate to
cancer
I posted the ad which is now running on auto pilot
What’s it about?
All I do in the video is tell my own story - how I did all sorts of crappy jobs to fund my musical ambitions, eventually climbing the
corporate ladder and having little or no time left for the real passion
Yes I had the nice house, the nice car, the foreign holidays etc - but none of that brought me real fulfilment
I go on to describe my long search for ways to make money that didn’t suck away most of my time and
energy
And how I eventually found the answer (after a coupe of false starts) with SFM
Then I simply suggest checking them out by subscribing for the SFM’s free video series like I did 5 years ago
If you’re
reading this you did that too
But maybe you weren’t quite ready to take the next step ……..
Maybe you are now?
The next step is to take out a free trial membership and discuss your aims and goals with one of their
