This weekend we are heading down country to spend some time with one of my partner’s cousins Mary
They actually got
back in touch recently after around 30 years through Facebook
Last summer Mary and her partner Peter came to see us and we had a great time - getting reaquainted in my partner’s case and getting to know in my case
What we didn’t know was that this would be the first and last time we would ever see Peter
as he sadly passed away some months later
It’ll be an emotional weekend but we will have a few drinks for Peter I’m sure
Thinking about this just makes me more determined to spread the message that time is so important
We just don’t know how much of it we - or anyone has and how the modern world offers us such a huge opportunity to get back more of it to spend as we would prefer - with friends and family and doing things we want to
Not trying to be morbid here but I also lost an old friend last year way before his time
Whether we like it or not the digital world is moving fast - almost on a different timescale than us mere mortals
We only have to look at the news to see more businesses closing down due to the way the internet is changing the way do things.
From a practical point of view its very
shortsighted not to be looking ahead and getting the skills to thrive in the modern world
From a “mere mortal” point of view it also makes sense to choose how we spend our time very carefully
A big part of that is looking at alternatives to spending on average 100,000 hours of it over a lifetime at jobs
and with people we’d rather not….
Which is where SFM’s unique education and online business platform comes in …..
……and why taking up their FREE TRIAL offer really is a no brainer.
