So glad I took a little more time out yesterday to take my old dad for a drive along the coast
It gave my mum
some time to herself to do some shopping and me some precious and realistically - scarce - time with dad.
It was raining heavily when I pulled up in front of their hotel but by the time I’d helped him into the car the sun was shining again.
As we drove along the shore past Dunoon, Kilmun, Strone,
Blairmore and finally all the way to Ardentinny
He was talking about his own dad who died in his forties when my father was just a boy and who I never got to meet.
How he used to take his wife and son on trips just like this - by train in those days.
And now here we were purring along in a little two seater. It was wonderful.
And as if to prove the law of Karma, my decision to do this instead of working yesterday was rewarded with a healthy dose of passive income from my online business - which runs in the background whether I’m working on it or not.
You call it what you like but being able to choose how I spend my time is actually the result of consistent work and the learning and application of new skills.
Backed up of course by fabulous training, clever business systems and leveraging the simple technology we all have access to these days. Like my dad and his dad never
had.
So I’ll end this fabulous week by again thanking my mentors and friends at SFM for opening my eyes to what is possible in this digital world.
You really should - find out for yourselves…..
Cheers
