It definitely was mine 

Long before I was eventually laid off from my corporate career - which certainly solved the time problem! I was looking for a change 

But when you are working a 50 hour+ week and playing with a band after hours 

There just was NO time to look for anything else 

A situation lots of people find themselves in and one that seems impossible to get out of 

You feel trapped 

And even in a well paid job or a business that’s doing OK - if you are just not feeling it 

It’s a bad place to be - so what can you do? 

Unfortunately the solutions that occur to most people (myself included at the time) just make the problem worse

1.You could try and get a better paid job with a different employer but that’s going to be tough and if you get it you’ll likely end up taking on more responsibility and sacrificing MORE time. 

2. You could re-educate yourself - probably the best option BUT ……

What will you learn? And can you actually afford to chuck the job or close the business? 

So the best solution of all in my experience is to learn something that 

A. Is most suited to a world that is becoming more digital by the hour and which will give you that time freedom, better income and peace of mind.

B. Can be fitted around your current commitments until such times as you can make the big leap of change
