Basically its all about new data protection regulations that come into force on May 25th

It affects everyone who in any way gathers information from people online - pretty much anyone who owns a website, sells goods and services online and builds subscriber lists.

It’s absolutely essential for anyone running an online business now or in future to understand what actions (like this) need to be taken. 

To that end I need to confirm that you as a valued subscriber of mine, still want to receive my emails

Although all this is a bit of a pain I’m very much in favour of it as part of the ongoing cleaning up process the internet industry is going through. 

I certainly don’t want my data to be misused and I equally don’t want, even inadvertently to spam, bore or annoy anyone else.
