I’ve been working through a slightly complicated process - not difficult just - well lets say - fernickity.
I’m using some of the amazing new tools recently added to my SFM membership platform.
Basically I’m building out an advertising
campaign and there are a lot of details that all need to be done “just so” (not my strong point I have to say - I’m more of a big picture guy!)
So I’ve been referring to several video tutorials and working my through all the steps.
Originally I had set a deadline for doing this but as I work through it I
realised that my deadline was not very realistic.
So I’ve stretched it another couple of days.
Instead of DO THIS BY WEDNESDAY - I’ve changed it to - LETS GET IT FINISHED THIS WEEK
And suddenly the process has become much
more relaxed
I think there’s a lesson here that can be applied to a lot of areas in life.
Don’t be in so much of a hurry!
Much better to do a thing properly even if it takes longer than you would like - than to do it in a rush and make a
complete cod of it!
I see a lot of people coming into the online space with this want it all tomorrow approach.
It reminds me of my old guitar tutor who said to me years ago - “I wish I could just insert everything directly into your head like a floppy disc (I’m old enough to remember them) But unfortunately
its a process that just has to be gone through”.
Its also much easier on yourself if you relax and enjoy the journey.
So if you seriously want to leverage the internet to create your ideal life bear that in mind.
Cheers!
