I’m just back from recording some bass guitar on a new song my partner and I are working on 

Guess where I did it …..

In my car - down at the seashore! 

I just took my laptop, a couple of cables and the guitar down to a little picnic area on the shore road near the house. 

I just felt like it would be an inspiring place to play - and it was.

When I got back I sent the song to the cloud where my brother can pick it up on his Ipad, add some piano parts and send it back to me! 

Hell I could even have done all that from the car via mobile! 

I’m just sharing this with you as I think its just a great example of how amazing this digital world we are living in really is. 

Back in the old world I’d have needed a room full of equipment to record the song in the first place! 

Then I’d have had to make 2 ferry trips and drive 100 miles with an armload of microphones and other kit just to spend hours recording my brother’s keyboard parts. 

If you are not a musician you might not get this - I appreciate that so thanks for bearing with me.

But here’s the thing……

Digital has made our live’s so much better in so many ways - easier, more convenient, more efficient 

And that extends to the way we can earn our living - I also do that digitally. 

I do know that a lot of people are “getting this” - I’m part of a community of thousands who are embracing this fully 

But there are still so many people who are just not taking full of advantage of all this amazingness

That’s what SFM - and by extension me - are trying to do. 

Just to make people aware of what’s easily possible now that wasn’t yesterday and to provide actual solid tools, training, mentorship and systems that change lives.
